1. Introduction

FlipAlert (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use any of our services, including the FlipAlert Web Application (“Web App”), FlipAlert Extension (“Extension”), the FlipAlert 2.0 Discord bot (“Discord Bot”), and optional Google Sheets integration features.

By using any of our services, you agree to the terms outlined in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with our practices, please do not use our services.

This Privacy Policy complies with applicable US laws, Chrome Web Store policies, Discord Developer Terms of Service, and the Google API Services User Data Policy.

2. Information We Collect

A. Data You Provide Voluntarily

Authentication Data: When you log in to the Web App or Extension using your FlipAlert account, we collect your email and authentication token to verify access.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect basic registration information such as your email address and password (stored in encrypted form).
Google Account Data: If you connect Google Sheets, we collect the Google account email address, Google account identifier, OAuth scopes granted, OAuth token metadata, and encrypted OAuth tokens needed to keep the integration connected.

B. Data Collected Automatically

Amazon Order and Tracking Data: If you choose to track your orders, we collect order details (order ID, date, total amount, and shipping address) to help you organize your purchases.
Amazon Product Data: If you enable price tracking, we collect product ASINs and target price settings to notify you of price changes.
Technical Data: Our services may collect basic usage information, such as error logs, to improve performance and stability.
Web App Data: When you use our Web App, we may collect information about your browser type, IP address, device information, and interaction with the site for analytics and service improvement.
Google Sheets Configuration: If you use the Google Sheets integration, we store spreadsheet IDs, spreadsheet URLs, sheet names, selected export destinations, and column mappings that you configure.
Exported Product Data: When you choose to export Analyzer or sourcing data to Google Sheets, we process the selected product, marketplace, and pricing fields needed to write those rows to your chosen spreadsheet.

C. Discord Bot Data

Discord Integration: If you use the FlipAlert 2.0 Discord bot, we do not store any additional personal information from Discord. The bot only processes the minimum required information to send notifications to your Discord DMs or servers where you’ve authorized the bot.
Discord User ID: For notification purposes only, the bot processes your Discord User ID to deliver messages to the correct recipient. This information is only used for the functionality of the service and is not shared with third parties.

3. How We Use Your Information

✅To authenticate your account and sync preferences across all our services.
✅To improve the performance and user experience of our Web App, Extension, and Discord Bot.
✅To send notifications via your preferred platform (Web, Browser, or Discord).
✅To synchronize your preferences and tracked items across all platforms.
✅To detect if you have the extension installed and customize your web experience (remove installation prompts, show exclusive features for extension users).
✅To let eligible users connect Google Sheets, create or update selected spreadsheets, write header rows, and export selected FlipAlert product data to those spreadsheets.

We do not use your data for advertising or share it with third parties beyond the scope of these functionalities.

FlipAlert’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use Google user data only to provide or improve user-facing Google Sheets export features. We do not use Google user data for targeted advertising, personalized advertising, retargeting, selling to data brokers, determining credit-worthiness, lending purposes, or training generalized AI models.

Our use of your information is limited to the purposes outlined in this policy, and we will not process your data in a way that is incompatible with these purposes without your consent.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your information based on the following legal grounds:

Consent: You have given explicit consent to the processing of your data for specific purposes.
Legitimate Interest: Processing is necessary for our legitimate interests in providing, maintaining, and improving our services.
Contract Performance: Processing is necessary for performing the contract we have with you to provide our services.

5. Data Sharing and Security

🔒 We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as necessary to provide our services’ functionality.

🔐 All communication with our backend servers is encrypted using HTTPS.

⚡ The Extension does not track your browsing history or access non-Amazon pages.

Your information is stored securely and is only accessible by authorized systems.

🤖 The Discord bot only processes the data necessary to deliver notifications and does not store additional personal information beyond what is required for the notification service.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit and at rest.

Google OAuth tokens are stored in encrypted form and are accessible only to authorized systems that need them to provide the Google Sheets integration. We do not sell Google user data or transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the requested integration, comply with law, protect against abuse, or with your explicit consent.

6. Platform-Specific Information

A. Web Application

Our Web App uses cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience and allow certain functionalities. The Web App may collect analytics data to improve user experience, but this data is anonymized whenever possible.

B. Chrome Extension

In compliance with Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies, we request only the permissions necessary for our Extension to function, and we explain the purpose of each:

`activeTab`	Analyzes product listings on Amazon and eBay when you click the extension icon.
`contextMenus`	Enables quick product analysis via right-click menu on Amazon/eBay pages.
`background`	Runs tracking tasks in the background.
`webRequest`	Sends and receives tracking data securely.

We only request the permissions necessary to fulfill the single purpose of the Extension.

C. Discord Bot

The FlipAlert 2.0 Discord bot is designed to send notifications about price changes and tracked orders to your Discord DMs or servers. Important information about the Discord bot:

✅We do not store any additional user information from Discord beyond what’s necessary to deliver notifications.
✅The bot only sends messages to channels or DMs where it has been explicitly authorized by you.
✅You can remove the bot from your server or block DM notifications at any time through Discord’s interface.
✅Discord’s own Privacy Policy applies to your use of their platform.
✅Our Discord bot complies with Discord’s Developer Terms of Service and Developer Policy.
✅We do not use the Discord bot to distribute spam, engage in self-promotion, or for any purpose beyond the stated functionality.

By adding the FlipAlert 2.0 bot to your server or accepting DM notifications, you consent to receive notifications through Discord.

D. Google Sheets Integration

The Google Sheets integration is an optional workflow that may be available to eligible accounts or during rollout preparation. When you choose to connect Google Sheets, FlipAlert uses Google OAuth to request the narrow permissions needed to export selected FlipAlert data into spreadsheets you create, select, or share with FlipAlert.

We currently request the drive.file scope so FlipAlert can create new Google Drive files or modify files that you open with, create with, or share with FlipAlert. We do not request broad access to all files in your Google Drive.
We also request Google identity scopes such as openid, email, and userinfo.email so we can show which Google account is connected.
We use Google Sheets APIs to create spreadsheets, verify spreadsheet metadata, update header rows, and append export rows selected by you.
You can disconnect Google Sheets from your FlipAlert settings. Disconnecting removes stored Google OAuth tokens from FlipAlert and stops future access. You can also revoke FlipAlert’s access from your Google Account permissions page.
Rows already exported to a spreadsheet remain in your Google account until you edit or delete them in Google Sheets.

7. Cross-Platform Integration

Our services are designed to work together. When you use multiple FlipAlert platforms (Web App, Extension, Discord Bot), we synchronize your settings and preferences across them to provide a consistent experience. This synchronization uses the same secure data handling practices described in this policy.

8. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for individuals under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe we might have any information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.

9. Data Retention

We retain your order and tracking data only while your account is active. You can delete your stored data anytime by contacting us or using the settings available in your FlipAlert account.

Google Sheets connection records, including encrypted OAuth tokens, spreadsheet IDs, and mapping settings, are retained only while the integration remains connected or as needed to provide the feature. Disconnecting Google Sheets removes stored OAuth tokens and disables future exports. Data already written to your Google Sheets remains under your control in your Google account.

If you deactivate your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

10. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information:

✅Right to restrict certain processing of your data
✅Right to data portability
✅Right to withdraw consent at any time

✅You can disconnect Google Sheets in your FlipAlert settings or revoke FlipAlert’s access from your Google Account.
